Clicker counter

A tally counter for cycle counts, line checks and anything else counted by hand. Tap the lower half to count. The upper half shows the running total, and tapping it switches to a rate chart or hides the number for a blind count. It runs entirely in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere, and the tally survives a refresh.

Every count is timestamped. The export button on the rate chart saves the whole click record as a CSV, one row per tap, so a count can be checked or analysed afterwards.

How do I use it for a cycle count?

Open it on a phone at the bin or shelf you are counting, tap the lower half once per unit, and read the total from the upper half when you are done. Enter that figure against the system quantity in your inventory software. If the two disagree, recount before you adjust, because most variances are counting errors rather than stock errors.

What is a blind count, and why use one?

A blind count is one where the counter cannot see the expected quantity, or in this case even the running total, while counting. Tap the upper half until the number is hidden. It stops a counter from drifting towards the number they expect to find, which is the main reason blind counts are the standard for cycle counting.

Can I subtract a miscount?

Yes. Press MODE to split the screen into a minus half and a plus half. On a keyboard, the up arrow, space or Enter adds one and the down arrow or Backspace takes one away, which also means a barcode scanner set up as a keyboard can drive it.

Can a stray tap reset the count?

Not once the controls are locked. Locking hides reset, mode and the other buttons so only the counting zones respond, and unlocking needs a press and hold. While the page is open it asks the phone to keep the screen awake, so the count does not vanish behind a lock screen mid-aisle.

Where is my data stored?

Only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, and the tally survives a refresh. Use EXPORT CSV on the rate chart to keep a copy: one row per tap, with its timestamp, so you can see how fast a count went and where it stalled.

Does it cost anything or need an account?

No. It is free, needs no sign-up and works on any modern phone, tablet or computer.
